DIN 6912
DIN 6912 identifies the pilot-recess configuration. Confirm commercial dimensions with supply tolerances and specifications; it is not equivalent to DIN 7984 without a pilot recess.
A low head and hexagon socket with a pilot recess for the tool. Intended for restricted axial space, this geometry differs from low-head screws without a pilot recess: check the housing, tool and required load.

The low head and pilot recess reduce the load-bearing section. Do not automatically apply the load or torque of an ISO 4762 screw of the same class. A leading zero in the class marking denotes reduced loadability, not a different material.
Commercial dimensions M5–M16. Lengths are recorded for each diameter; other diameters and lengths can be assessed on request, including dedicated production for substantial quantities.

Dimensions in mm. Identification drawing, not a manufacturing drawing.

Full or partial threading must be confirmed for the individual size and supply. Listed commercial lengths do not guarantee a plain-shank length; b remains ND where the configuration has not been confirmed.
Indicative supplier-catalogue weight for each steel diameter/length combination. It is not a normative or certified batch weight; do not transfer values to stainless steel.

For requirements beyond the tabulated combinations, enquire about aluminium, brass, nylon, duplex, superduplex or an ASTM specification. Alloy or grade, dimensions, mechanical requirements and finish are defined for the enquiry; the geometric reference does not automatically imply conformity with the product standard.

Select the finish for the material/property-class combination. Hydrogen relief and lubrication are separate process requirements, not certificates and not implied by the coating name.

Batch documents are not automatically included: specify your requirements in the RFQ.
Match nominal diameter, pitch, strength, material, finish and joint conditions.
For this reduced-loadability geometry, select the nut, washer and tightening conditions through a joint assessment. Do not automatically transfer mating-component or preload recommendations from a full-loadability screw of the same property class.
Other diameters, lengths, materials and finishes can be assessed on request. For dedicated production, we agree geometry, requirements and minimum quantities with the customer.
