ISO 8675:2023
Standard for style-0 thin nuts with metric fine threads. The pitch must match the mating male thread. Tabulated dimensional limits refer to the 2023 edition.
A thin profile for adjustment and jam-nut applications on metric fine threads. Always specify both diameter and pitch: M12 × 1.5 and M12 × 1.25 are not interchangeable. In jam-nut applications, use the thin nut together with a regular or high nut.
DIN 439 B · ISO 4035

The thin profile has reduced loadability. Class 04 is not class 4, 4.8 or 8: retain the leading zero. Jam-nut use requires an appropriate joint arrangement and a defined tightening procedure.
ISO 8675:2023 dimensions from M8 to M39, covering 19 diameter/pitch pairs. Configurable supply combinations are listed separately. Other diameters and pitches on request.

| Material | Class / hardness | Configurable range | Supply |
|---|---|---|---|
| Steel to mechanical specification | 04 | M8 × 1, M10 × 1, M12 × 1.5, M16 × 1.5, M20 × 1.5, M24 × 2 | On request |
For requirements beyond the tabulated combinations, enquire about aluminium, brass, nylon, duplex, superduplex or an ASTM specification. Alloy or grade, dimensions, mechanical requirements and finish are defined for the enquiry; the geometric reference does not automatically imply conformity with the product standard.
| Finish | Material | Class / hardness | M |
|---|---|---|---|
| Black oxide | Steel to mechanical specification | 04 | M8 × 1, M10 × 1, M12 × 1.5, M16 × 1.5, M20 × 1.5, M24 × 2 |
| Zinc plated, blue passivated | Steel to mechanical specification | 04 | M8 × 1, M10 × 1, M12 × 1.5, M16 × 1.5, M20 × 1.5, M24 × 2 |
Select the finish for the material/property-class combination. Hydrogen relief and lubrication are separate process requirements, not certificates and not implied by the coating name.
Standard for style-0 thin nuts with metric fine threads. The pitch must match the mating male thread. Tabulated dimensional limits refer to the 2023 edition.
Historical commercial reference also used for fine-pitch versions. DIN widths across flats may differ from ISO, particularly at M10, M12, M14 and M22: specify standard and pitch when ordering.
Separate coarse-pitch family. A matching nominal diameter does not make coarse and fine threads interchangeable.

Batch documents are not automatically included: specify your requirements in the RFQ.
The linked coarse-pitch references are family comparisons, not compatible threaded counterparts. Select the same diameter and fine pitch for the actual joint.
Do not automatically apply the bolt 8.8 / nut 8 pairing to this nut. Assess the connection using effective nut height and thread-stripping resistance.
Other diameters, lengths, materials and finishes can be assessed on request. For dedicated production, we agree geometry, requirements and minimum quantities with the customer.
