Reference dimensions for the h8 shoulder execution in the Berardi catalogue. An f9 variant is also listed: specify the fit tolerance without assuming identical executions. Catalogue shoulder sizes 6, 12 and 24 differ from ISO nominal sizes 6.5, 13 and 25: always request the variant drawing. b identifies the threaded portion geometry, not a supply length list.

Standards, executions and application
The ground shoulder is intended for positioning and guiding. Material tensile strength alone does not determine component capacity: shoulders and undercuts limit tightening. Bossard distinguishes 012.9 / 12.9 according to the head marking and states that these screws are not intended to transmit high axial forces. The Ganter stainless execution is AISI 304 with an f9 shoulder and stated deviations from the standard: do not transfer steel performance to this variant.
